Fall is just around the corner and to say I’m excited is an understatement. Fall is without a doubt my favourite season so it makes sense that I’m getting excited to transition into my fall sweaters and beauty routines! I recently got my hands on the gorgeous Urban Decay Born to Run Eyeshadow Palette and thought immediately that it makes a perfect transition palette from summer to fall.
The packaging is really fun, in my opinion. It has vacation themed photos on the outside and feels quite sturdy. The mirror inside is a great size and the pans are all a good size as well. It has a secure magnetic close and it’s quite slim so despite being a larger palette, I think it would still be easy to travel with.
The palette is packed with a wide assortment of shades. There are fun pops of colour which are perfect for right now, but there are also warm and jewel tones that are going to look amazing come September. More specifically, there are 21 gorgeous shades to choose from and because there is such a wide range of colours, you can create any look using this palette!
“Breakaway” is a warm ivory shimmer, “Stranded” is a pale rose gold, “Blaze” is a light metallic peach with a pink shift, “Weekender” is a light matte beige, “Still Shot” is a bright peach, “Riff” is a browny nude matte with a slight micro-sparkle, “Good as Gone” is a deep brown with iridescent micro-shimmer, “Hell Ride” is a deep matte fuchsia, “Baja” is a matte burnt orange, “Accelerate” is a reddish copper metallic, “Guilt Trip” is a smoky purple shimmer, “Ignite” is a rose gold metallic, “Smog” is a deep copper bronze shimmer, “Wanderlust” is a forest green with gold micro-shimmer, “Wildheart” is a bright fuchsia, “Punk” is a red-brown matte, “Double Life” is a metallic rust hue, “Jet” is a black with deep shimmering purple shift, “Drift” is a charcoal satin with tonal micro-sparkle, “Radio” is a deep emerald satin, and “Big Sky” is a frosted green shimmer with iridescent micro-sparkle.
Here is a look at a few of the shades:
I love Urban Decay eyeshadows and this palette is no exception! The shades are really buttery, blend out beautifully, and have just the right amount of pigmentation. They’re easy to work with, but I did find they creased on me quickly which isn’t usually the case with UD shadows. I ensure to use an eyelid primer though which completely fixed that small issue. Aside from that, I really have no complaints about this palette! I think it’s really fun and a great palette no matter what your makeup style is!
