When I first laid eyes on the Stila Star Light, Star Bright Highlighting Palette*, it was love at first sight. After playing around with it for a few weeks it’s safe to say the quality of the palette is just as good as it looks.
The packaging is sleek and gold. It’s not as sturdy as I thought it would be but it doesn’t feel like it’s going to break and I love how simple it looks.
Inside are three gorgeous highlighting shades: ‘Transcendence’ (an opalescent pink for a bolder glow), ‘Kitten’ (Stila’s iconic shade that brightens and illuminates), and ‘Bronze’ (a golden brown that creates a sun-kissed glow).
Each of the powders are very buttery and are bouncy to the touch. The formulas contain ultra-fine light diffusing particles to give the skin a natural glow. They look nice on their own as well as mixed together. The highlighters blend nicely and feel lightweight on the skin too.
Being fair I was a bit concerned with how much use I would get out of this palette but I find all of the shades look so pretty but they could easily be built up if you have a darker complexion than I do. They also work well both wet and dry depending on how intense you want them to look.
I’m so happy to have this palette in my collection and have been wearing it a ton lately. I think it’s going to get a lot of use right through the holidays as well.
