Sonic Foundation Brush by Clarisonic

Sonic Foundation Brush by Clarisonic

It’s no secret how much I love my Clarisonic. I’m currently using their SMART Profile device which I reviewed HERE recently. Their devices are really well-known for their ability to cleanse the skin, however Clarisonic has now come out with a Sonic Foundation Brush head* so you can now use your favourite cleansing device to apply your makeup too!

I was really excited about this and couldn’t wait to give it a try! The brush head works with all Clarisonic devices, so you don’t need to go out and buy the latest model, which I thought was nice. It works in the same cycle as it does to cleanse your face (20 seconds on the forehead, 20 seconds on the nose and chin, and 10 seconds for each cheek) so the idea is your foundation will be applied in 60 seconds.

I have to say, I really like this! I’m a die-hard beauty blender fan and while I won’t ever give them up, I have been using the Clarisonic brush head nearly everyday since receiving it. It gives a medium coverage, though if you increase the speed it gives more of a full coverage look, which is what I do. If I’m using a heavier foundation or used too much, sometimes I have to do another cycle (or even half a cycle) just to make sure everything is blended well.

What I really like about this brush head is that it gives my skin an airbrushed look and I use a lot less foundation than I do when I apply my makeup with a sponge. I don’t get streaky brush lines on my face and it does a great job of covering up my imperfections.

The brush head can be used for foundation, BB cream, CC cream, concealer, liquid highlighter, and cream contour, though I tend to just stick to foundation. It is suitable for all skin types and the synthetic fibers feel gentle on the skin.

While I wouldn’t necessarily go out and buy a Clarisonic just for this brush head, I do think it’s really great! If you already own a Clarisonic device I would definitely say that this attachment is worth picking up! It’s so easy to use and really gives a nice finish to the skin.

Have you tried the Sonic Foundation Brush head yet?
