Sangria is one of my favourite drinks, especially in the summer. It’s so fruity and refreshing, making it the perfect drink for a summer evening spent with friends.
It’s really pretty and super easy to make. There are so many different ways to make sangria, but today I thought I would share with you my recipe!
What you’ll need to make the sangria:
A bottle of Apothic Red Wine*
½ cup white rum
½ cup orange juice
1 ½ cups ginger ale
1 orange, sliced
8-10 strawberries, sliced
You simply put all of the ingredients into a large pitcher and give them a stir. Refrigerate for a few hours before serving.
Apothic Red works really well in this particular recipe as it is a blend of Zinfandel, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. It has fruity undertones and is really smooth. It also tastes really nice on its own.
The best part about making sangria, is that you can customize it however you like. You can use whichever wine you prefer and mix up your fruit accordingly too. A fun idea too would be to host a girls’ night and have you and each of your guests make a sangria and then have a friendly competition!
