If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you’ll know I love a good face mask. I’ve wanted to try the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme mask for ages, but with such a steep price tag, I haven’t been able to justify it. Though, when I was browsing the Sephora website recently, I saw they had Peter Thomas Roth mini mask set including the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask for just $25! I couldn’t resist and ended up ordering one and wasn’t disappointed.
The set includes the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask, as well as the Cucumber Gel Mask and the Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask. The pots are quite small, but you can easily get 6-8 applications out of each pot which is the perfect amount of time to tell if your skin reacts well to each particular mask.
Besides smelling unbelievably amazing (I seriously wish I could eat it), the Pumpkin Enzyme mask is ideal for those with dull, aging, and or congested skin. The pumpkin enzyme in the mask exfoliates and gets rid of dead skin cells for a more radiant complexion while aluminum oxide polishes the skin. This mask also contains alpha hydroxy acid which peels away any dead skin. You only have to leave this mask on 3-7 minutes, so it’s a perfect weeknight mask when you have a lot to do. It tingles when I have it on, but I feel like it’s really doing something for my skin. I notice my skin feels and looks smoother and more radiant the next morning.
Next in the set is the Cucumber Gel Mask. I have blogged about this mask before, but essentially this mask is perfect for those with dry skin like me. It feels refreshing and cooling on and my skin just drinks it up. The next day I’m left with softer skin that feels moisturized. I think this mask is a perfect one for the summer, so I plan on saving this little pot for then.
Last but not least is the Rose Stem Cel Bio-Repair Gel Mask. I hadn’t heard too much about this mask prior to ordering the set, but since my skin seems to love anything with rose, I figured I would like it. This mask has the same gel consistency of the Cucumber Gel Mask and feels cooling and soothing on the skin. This mask counteracts visible signs of aging and helps with dehydration and dullness. While I don’t show signs of aging, my skin is definitely dehydrated and dull this time of year and this mask has definitely helped with that. It smells really fresh, so for those who don’t like the smell of roses but want the benefits of them, this is a perfect choice. My skin feels noticeably softer and more radiant the next day.
While these masks are expensive to buy, you do see quick results with them. I really liked that I was able to try them out at a more affordable price. While I really enjoyed all three, I would definitely say that the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask was my favourite of the set, and I think I’ll eventually have to bite the bullet and get a full sized jar.
Have you tried any of the Peter Thomas Roth masks?
