My Minimal Everyday Makeup Routine for Summer + Taking a Break

My Minimal Everyday Makeup Routine for Summer

I’ve been talking a lot lately about how I have been enjoying a more minimal makeup routine. I love how much time it saves me in the morning and I’ve actually found a newfound confidence that comes with wearing less makeup. It’s nice to let my skin breathe a little more, and as the temperatures continue to get hotter, it feels way more comfortable too! I thought for today’s post it would be fun to share my minimal everyday makeup routine for summer!

Here is what I have been using:

IT Cosmetics Secret Sauce Moisturizer*

I’ve been in the habit of putting my moisturizer on 5-10 minutes before applying my makeup and have found a noticeable difference in how my makeup looks. This one from IT Cosmetics has been my go-to as of late because of the glow it gives my skin! I am all about radiant skin in the summertime and this gives the prettiest glow!

Dermablend Flawless Creator Foundation Drops*

These foundation drops feel completely weightless on the skin – it’s actually unbelievable! You can customize the coverage, which I really like and the dropper is easy to use. I have been mixing a few drops with my moisturizer though most days to create a light to medium coverage foundation with a glow to it. I have also used the foundation on it’s own and really liked the results too! I love how versatile this one us!

beauty blender Sapphire*

A damp beauty blender is my favourite way to apply foundation. It gives a natural finish and I find my base products look their best when I use one. The new sapphire colour is so fun for summer and is still the same amazing quality you would expect from beauty blender.

Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer

I actually have a bit of a natural tan for the first time in my life! That being said, I doubt it will last so I don’t want to rush out and buy new foundation. Instead, I have been wearing bronzer and it seems to be working well! I have been using this one all over my face lightly and then as a contour as well. I like using this because it gives a subtle, natural looking contour – and it smells like coconut!

NARS Blush in “Orgasm”

This is an old favourite of mine. It’s super flattering for all skin tones and gives the skin a healthy glow that is really pretty!

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in “Opal”

This highlighter is so beautiful if you’re looking for glowing skin! I have been using this on my face as well as on my eyelids as an eye shadow.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in “Whiskey”

I have given up liquid liner most days and have been using this liner instead! I honestly can’t believe how much I love it as I’m a huge liquid liner fan. The brown colour perfectly compliments the look in my opinion and looks natural while still defining the lash line. I love that it doesn’t fade or wear off throughout the day either!

Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara*

This mascara has been a go-to of mine lately! It smells like coconuts and actually nourishes your lashes while you wear it. It takes a bit more to remove, but it makes my lashes look so soft, fluttery, and voluminous that I don’t even mind! It also is available in waterproof, which is perfect for summer!

I have also decided to take a two week blogging break. As much as I love blogging, I have been struggling to keep up the last few weeks. Between starting a new job, getting a new apartment with my boyfriend, and getting lots of amazing writing contracts with L’Oreal – I have been swamped! So, I’m going to take two weeks to recharge and will be back August 6th with some exciting new content for you guys!

This post contains product that was sent to me for consideration. This in no way influences my opinion.
