Today I thought I would walk you guys through my five favourite face brushes. My brush collection consists of mostly inexpensive options, but I have found them to work well for me.
First up is the e.l.f. Powder Brush. It’s really soft on the skin, which isn’t always common in cheaper makeup brushes. I like to use this one with my setting powder all over my face. It applies the product evenly and doesn’t look streaky.
Next is the Bdellium Tools 787 brush. I like this one for highlighting. It’s so soft a fluffy and creates a nice, natural glow on my skin. It’s small enough to get in my inner corners and cupid’s bow, but it’s not a lot of work to use it to highlight my forehead as well.
Next is the e.l.f. Flawless Concealer Brush. I like using this one for blending in my liquid concealer. It buffs the concealer into my skin really well without leaving streaks and feels soft and fluffy on the skin.
Next is the Real Techniques Blush Brush. I bought this after reviewing the e.l.f. brushes on my blog and so many of you told me that Real Techniques was your favourite budget friendly brand. I can definitely see why. This brush is so soft and because it’s tapered at the end I find my blush is so easy to blend in. My only complaint is that the end of the handle is flat so I can’t store this brush in the cup with all my others. It’s nice that it can stand up, but that really isn’t a selling point for me. This definitely won’t be my last brush from this brand though, there are so many that I want to try now.
Last but not least is the e.l.f. Angled Blush Brush. I love this brush for contouring. Its angled edge makes it so easy to get a sculpted look. It’s also really soft so it doesn’t apply too much product to your skin, which is good for me since I’m so fair. You can definitely build up the coverage with this brush, but it also works well for more subtle looks.
