I’ve had my eye on the Maybelline The Nudes Palette for quite a while now, so when I spotted it on sale a few weeks ago, I had to pick it up. I’m a huge lover of neutral eyeshadows so this palette looked right up my alley. With 12 shades to choose from it is easy to create day and night looks with this palette.
The sponge applicator that comes in the palette is decent. I’m not a huge fan of sponge applicators typically, so I tend to still use a brush most of the time, but I don’t mind this one. One end of the applicator is flat; which is perfect for smudging a bit of eyeshadow on my lower lash line.
While the packaging is plastic, it is quite sturdy and feels a bit nicer than most drugstore palettes I own. It’s also a great size as it isn’t super small but doesn’t take up that much room in a makeup bag.
These shadows are quite pigmented for a drugstore brand and blend really easily and nicely into one another. This is a great palette for beginners as you get quite a few shadows for such a good price but; is also good quality that I think experienced makeup users would love as well. In my opinion, it’s hard to believe this palette is from the drugstore!
