Earlier this week I shared a personal post about my current weight-loss journey. During the week I have to be at work for 7:45 so I don’t have time to stray from my usual rushed schedule unless I woke up even earlier, which seems impossible, but I have made some changes to my weekend morning routine to help with this, so I thought I would share with you what my healthy morning routine looks like:
I don’t let myself sleep in too much on the weekends so I won’t disrupt my sleep schedule. I’m up by 6:10 throughout the week so 8:30 is the latest I sleep until on Saturday and Sunday. I find this helps me get a better night sleep and I’m less of a zombie come Monday morning.
I then head downstairs to make myself a cup of coffee. During the week this is usually chugged in between makeup steps, so I like to take the weekend to sit and enjoy my coffee. I’ll either chat with my parents on the back deck, curl up with a magazine, or watch a YouTube video to ease into my day.
After that is breakfast which varies from day to day. On this particular day I had oatmeal with bananas and blueberries!
This is also when I take my vitamins/supplements. I added the Renew Life Ultimate Flora Critical Care Probiotic* to the mix about a month ago now to help aid in digestion. Renew Life has a variety of products, and I’ve tried a few in the past, however, this one has been the most relevant and exciting to me. Probiotics have so many great benefits. They help boost your immune system, aid in digestion, give glowing skin, and help you maintain a healthy weight. Probiotics provide you with beneficial bacteria that is an important part of a healthy digestive system. You only take one capsule per day so I like taking mine at breakfast.
After breakfast I get ready for the gym. This usually involves brushing my teeth, changing my clothes, applying deodorant, packing my gym bag, and throwing my hair in a messy bun.
I then head to the gym. My workouts are all cardio at the moment so I like taking the Renew Life Ultimate Flora Critical Care Probiotic with breakfast so my food feels digested before I work out. This helps me feel fuelled (fasted cardio is not for me) but I don’t feel sluggish nor do I get stomach cramps.
When I get home from the gym I like to shower and do my makeup. By that point it’s basically lunch time!
What do your weekend mornings look like?
