Give Me Some Lip

Give Me Some Lip

I love when Sephora releases their ‘Sephora Favorites’. Most recently I picked up their ‘Give Me Some Lip’ collection and was super impressed by it.

For $30, this set comes with six different lip products by different brands to try out. This particular set featured pinks and I got to try a few things on my wish list! I really like these sets because it’s a great way to try out some new high end products without breaking the bank. Plus, it comes in a cute lip shaped box.

First in the box is the Sephora Collection Rouge Infusion Lip Stain in the shade Peony. I really like lip stains for work because they stay on forever and it doesn’t feel like anything is on my lips. This shade is so pretty and is very pigmented. It lasts nearly all day and isn’t drying on the lips as a lot of lip stains can be.

Next is the Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick in Coral Blossom. This lipstick is actually full sized and normally costs $20, so this was the best deal! It has been on my wish list for ages so this is mainly what made me pick up this particular set. The lipstick was all I had hoped it would be. It feels so smooth and buttery on the lips and is a beautiful coral-pink shade. The tube itself is so cute too. The only complaint with this one is that it isn’t very long lasting. That being said, it’s a great size to throw in your purse to touch up midday.

Then, is the Fresh Sugar Rosé Lip Treatment. I have a few of these lip treatments already and absolutely adore them, so it was no surprise that I loved this one as well. It feels so hydrating on the lips and has such a beautiful natural colour to it.

Next is the Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Crème in Je T’Aime. I have only tried Marc Jacobs lip glosses, so I was really excited to give this one a go. It feels really rich when you’re applying it and so hydrating while you wear it. The pigment in it is really nice and it’s pretty long lasting which I liked.

Then is the Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi Gloss in202. I already have one of these as well, but I really like them so it was nice to have a familiar favourite in the set. These glosses are so shiny and aren’t overly sticky. 202 isn’t super pigmented and has more of a natural colour which I actually really like. It’s also quite long lasting for a lip gloss which I was impressed with.

Last but certainly not least is the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita. This ended up being my favourite in the set. I’m really into liquid lipsticks and had yet to try anything from the Kat Von D line so I was pretty excited to try this one out. It went on so nicely and lasted almost all day without needing to be retouched. The colour is so different to anything in my collection so at first I was unsure about it, but it has really grown on me. This liquid lipstick goes on creamy and dries matte without being drying on the lips. I definitely want to pick up some more shades of these!

Have you tried any of these lip products? What did you think of them?
