Drinking enough water has so many benefits for our bodies but is something I struggle with. Some days I get more than enough water and other days hardly any. I’ve been working hard to try and get my water intake where it should be every day, especially since getting back into gym mode. I have come up with some tips that have been really helping me, though. Here are my tips for drinking more water:
Take water with you
I am much more likely to drink water if I have it with me. I’m currently obsessed with my Ayurvedic Copper Water Bottle* from Halfmoon! It’s so beautiful and it naturally purifies my water. The bottle holds a litre of water, which is great and since it’s so pretty I love taking it with me and in turn drink more water! Drinking from a copper vessel is an ancient Ayurvedic practice that helps support the immune system and kill bacteria in water, which I think is so interesting. The bottle is made in India and keeps my water cold for quite a while, which is important to me!
I find tracking my water intake in my Fitbit app helps me visualize where I’m at with my daily goal and allows me to see how much further I have to go before I achieve it. I like Fitbit for a variety of things, but I’m sure there are lots of other apps to help log your water intake as well.
Don’t allow yourself any other beverages until you’ve hit your goal
With the exception of my morning coffee, I don’t allow myself to drink anything else besides water until I’ve reached my goal. Often times I only end up drinking water, but I feel a lot less guilty having a lemonade if I know I’ve had enough water for the day.
How do you make sure you get enough water in a day? I’d love to hear your tips down below!
