    Halloween Trail Mix

My Halloween plans this year are pretty low key. Since it’s a Tuesday and I have to work in the morning, I’ve decided to stay in, eat candy, and watch Netflix! For whatever reason I didn’t feel like picking out a costume this year. I still did other traditional Halloween things, but I just wasn’t feeling the whole costume party thing this year. That being said, I’m looking forward to a cozy but still festive night in tonight and plan on eating my Halloween trail mix! It’s super easy to throw together and you can use anything you want to make the trail mix! I opted to use Halloween themed…

    Halloween Bark

This Halloween bark is both festive and super cute! I’ve mentioned before that I’m not much of a Halloween person, but I still like getting into the spirit of things at least a little. The Halloween bark is almost effortless to make. It is such a unique alternative to setting out mini chocolate bars at a Halloween party too. [amd-zlrecipe-recipe:5]   You can play around with the candy you put in the bark. I opted to choose candies and chocolates that came in fall colours so it looked more festive, but you could just choose your favourites and it would turn out just as well!

    Chocolate Covered Pretzel Pumpkins

You would think because I love autumn that I would be a huge Halloween fan too; but that’s not really the case. I’m a huge scaredy-cat when it comes to Halloween, actually. I still like to get into the spirit of things though, but my approach is more cute than it is scary. That’s where these chocolate covered pretzel pumpkins come in to play. They’re pretty easy to make, taste great, and look super festive! [amd-zlrecipe-recipe:3]   Aren’t they super cute?!

    Pumpkin Loaf

When it comes to autumn, I am all about comfort foods which is why I love this pumpkin loaf. It reminds me a bit of my days working at Starbucks and makes a perfect fall treat. This loaf is nice because it has some sweetness to it but also some spice thanks to the nutmeg. I find it pairs perfectly with a cup of coffee on a chilly October afternoon. [amd-zlrecipe-recipe:4] It’s relatively easy to make and doesn’t take long to prepare. You can serve it on its own or warmed up with butter. The flavours compliment each other perfectly and the texture of the bread is really nice too.…
