What Happened When I Went 5 Days Without Caffeine

I have a strong love for coffee, and I have for years. It started slowly in high school when I got my first job. My school was right beside a coffee shop and I found myself stopping there on my lunch break quite frequently to pick up an afternoon latte. After high school was when I started having a daily cup of coffee in the morning and then it reached an all-time high when I eventually started working at Starbucks. It has declined since and I now average about 2-3 cups per day. I would consider myself to be quite dependent on caffeine so I wanted to see what would…

    Super-Easy Burrito Bowl

When it comes to weekday lunches I am all about fast but filling recipes. This super-easy burrito bowl can be made ahead and keeps me full until dinner time! While it takes a bit of time to prepare everything that goes into it, it’s the perfect recipe to make ahead on a Sunday for the week ahead. [amd-zlrecipe-recipe:7] This has been my favourite lunch the last week or so. I love how full it keeps me and it’s so versatile! Halloween Trail Mix

My Halloween plans this year are pretty low key. Since it’s a Tuesday and I have to work in the morning, I’ve decided to stay in, eat candy, and watch Netflix! For whatever reason I didn’t feel like picking out a costume this year. I still did other traditional Halloween things, but I just wasn’t feeling the whole costume party thing this year. It’s super easy to throw together and you can use anything you want to make the trail mix! I opted to use Halloween themed…

    Halloween Bark

This Halloween bark is both festive and super cute! I’ve mentioned before that I’m not much of a Halloween person, but I still like getting into the spirit of things at least a little. The Halloween bark is almost effortless to make. It is such a unique alternative to setting out mini chocolate bars at a Halloween party too. [amd-zlrecipe-recipe:5]   You can play around with the candy you put in the bark. I opted to choose candies and chocolates that came in fall colours so it looked more festive, but you could just choose your favourites and it would turn out just as well!

    Chocolate Covered Pretzel Pumpkins

You would think because I love autumn that I would be a huge Halloween fan too; but that’s not really the case. I’m a huge scaredy-cat when it comes to Halloween, actually. I still like to get into the spirit of things though, but my approach is more cute than it is scary. That’s where these chocolate covered pretzel pumpkins come in to play. They’re pretty easy to make, taste great, and look super festive! [amd-zlrecipe-recipe:3]   Aren’t they super cute?!
