Brow Drama vs. Brow Artist Plumper

Brow Drama vs. Brow Artist Plumper

I absolutely love my Amazing Cosmetics brow powder. I’ve been using it religiously since I first tried it a few years back. The colour is perfect and I really like the formula. Though, recently the tinted brow gels have been on my radar, so I decided to pick up a couple of drugstore ones to try them out. I really liked the idea of keeping my brows in place all day and thought this would be the perfect product to work with my brow powder.

I picked up Maybelline Brow Drama and L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper. You can use each of these products alone, but I prefer the look of them in addition to my brow powder.

Maybelline Brow Drama applied really nicely. The round tip on the brush kind of threw me off, but it actually made it much easier to apply. The colour matched my brows really well, which was nice. It took a while to dry though, and left my brows feeling exceptionally crispy all day which I really didn’t like. It definitely kept my brows in place all day, but not in the way I had hoped. I tried applying it with a lighter hand since but that doesn’t seem to have helped. I’ve seen so many rave reviews of this product, so I was definitely disappointed but this is not the product for me.

Next I tried L’Oreal’s Brow Artist Plumper in medium to dark. This colour too matched my brows perfectly and the brush is more of a mascara wand style. It applies the same way as the Brow Drama but it didn’t take quite so long to dry and never left my eyebrows feeling stiff or crispy. This one felt quite natural on my skin and it still kept my brows in place. This is definitely a product I will be repurchasing.

What are your brow must haves?
