Bright Eye Drugstore Makeup Tutorial

Bright Eye Drugstore Makeup Tutorial

I love watching YouTube. I’ve gotten into the habit of watching videos while I get ready in the morning and really enjoy it. A good month ago now I was watching In The Frow’s makeup tutorial for New Year’s Eve. I loved how different it was and really wanted to recreate the look.

Victoria used the Lorac Mega Pro 2 palette, which is really hard to get in Canada. I was feeling a bit discouraged, but after looking through my own makeup collection, I found some suitable alternatives.

Today I thought I would share with you guys how I created Victoria’s super pretty look using all drugstore makeup!

For my base I used the Maybelline Superstay Better Skin foundation. This gives great coverage and is a good colour match for my skin.

I then brightened my under eye area and covered any blemishes with the Maybelline Master Conceal, which is hands down the best drugstore concealer I’ve used so far.

To warm up my skin I used the Rimmel London Natural Bronzer and the Maybelline Fit ME Blush in ‘Light Pink’.

I cheated when it came to highlighter. Because I don’t have a drugstore highlight I opted to use BECCA’s ‘Champagne Pop’, but there are lots of drugstore options.

For my eyes, I applied the Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks in the shade ‘Melon’ into my crease.

I then used my Maybelline The Nudes palette and took the shimmery gold shade onto my eyelid from the inner corner until about half way across my lid. I also took a little bit underneath my eye on my lower lash line from the inner corner until about a quarter of the way across my eye.

Then, I took another of the Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks in the shade ‘Periwinkle’ and applied this from my outer corner to the center of my eyelid where the gold shadow started. I also ran it along my lower lash line from the outer corner until it met the gold shadow.

I then made sure to blend out the finished look to avoid any harsh lines.

Lastly I went back in with my Maybelline The Nudes palette and took the top left shade on my brow bone and inner corner for added highlighting.

I then used the Essence Super Fine Eyeliner Pen for my eyeliner and the Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious mascara.

To complete the look I used the NYX Butter Gloss in the shade ‘Crème Brulee’.

What do you guys think of this look?
