Beauty Finds of the Week

Beauty Finds of the Week

This week has been another hectic one! I’ve been really enjoying playing around with new skincare this week especially as my skin has been acting up. I think it’s mostly stress related so I’ve been trying to make sure I’m taking time at the end of the night to unwind with a proper skincare routine. Here are my beauty finds of the week:

Biotherm Blue Therapy Eye Opening Serum*

This eye serum is unlike anything I’ve tried before! It helps to make eyelids look lifted, wrinkles look smoothed, and it reduces puffiness. You can also apply the serum to your lashes to strengthen them, which is such a cool feature to me! The applicator looks like a mascara wand which makes it easy to apply to the lashes and it also has a ball on the tip to apply to your under eye area.  The ball feels cool and refreshing on my under eye area, which is perfect for early mornings. I also love that it’s like a 2-in-1 and I’ve been impressed with the results so far!

Real Techniques Dual-Ended Makeup Sponge*

This dual-ended makeup sponge is designed to give your skin medium to full coverage. You use the orange side to apply your foundation and the pink end to apply your contour, blush, and/or highlighter. You can use the sponge dry with liquids or powders, which kind of threw me off since I typically use my beauty sponges damp, but it works just fine dry!

7th Heaven Charcoal Peel Off Mask*

I love a good peel off mask and this one is a great budget-friendly option! The formula contains charcoal to draw out impurities but it also contains witch hazel and birch leaf to calm and soothe the skin. The mask peeled off relatively well and didn’t hurt when I was removing it. My skin felt super clean after as well as smooth and purified. My skin has been acting up a lot lately, so this mask came at the perfect time!

Live Clean Vanilla Peppermint Hand Soap*

This hand soap smells delicious and comes in the cutest festive packaging! It looks really pretty sitting out on my bathroom counter and I find the formula to be rather nourishing on my hands. Canadian winters are cold and are so drying on my skin, but this soap is moisturizing as well so my hands haven’t been as dry lately.

Avène Gentle Exfoliating Gel*

As I mentioned, my skin has been acting up so I’ve been trying to make the effort to exfoliate a couple times a week to slough off any dead skin cells and my go-to has been this one from Avène. It contains thermal spring water so it feels soothing on the skin without irritating it. The scrub works to purify and exfoliate the skin without being too abrasive. It has really helped with my texture and my skin has been looking a bit brighter!
