A Look at the Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Palette

A Look at the Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Palette

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you’ll know that Too Faced eyeshadows are among my favourite formulas. The pigmentation is always so great as is the shade range when they release a palette, so I was so excited to try the Gingerbread Spice Palette! My boyfriend got this for me last month and I have been obsessed with it ever since. I love everything about the holidays, and this limited holiday release was at the top of my wish list! Here is a look at the Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Palette:

The Packaging

The packaging of this eyeshadow palette is super cute! It legitimately looks like a gingerbread cookie complete with frosting and has a cute gingerbread man on the front too. The shadows are housed in a metal tin which feels really sturdy. The pan sizes are really good and there is a mirror inside too!

The Shades

This palette has some really great everyday shadows inside as well as some more unique shades. It’s unlike any other palette in my collection and I love all the warm shades. With 18 shades to choose from, this palette is loaded with different colours. The shades include: “Powdered Sugar” which is a matte cream, “Spiked Eggnog” which is a champagne shimmer, “Gumdrop” which is a vibrant fuchsia, “Gingerbread” which is a warm matte brick red-brown, “Warm & Toasty” which is a metallic gold, “Ooo Burn!” which is a shimmery purple with red undertone, “Frostbite Me!” which is a sparkly snow white, “Lookie at my Cookie” which is a matte pinky-brown, “Spice is Nice” which is a matte brick red, “Oh Snap!” which is a shimmery brick red-brown, “Bake it Til You Make It” which is a metallic deep cranberry, “Spice of Life” which is a shimmery brown with gold shift, “Sugar Daddy” which is a matte blush pink, “Figgy Pudding” which is a matte purple, “Hot Toddy” which is a metallic cranberry with pink micro shimmer, “Reindeer Paws” which is a deep chocolate brown, “Gingerbread Latte” which is a matte warm toned brown, and “Spiced Rum” which is a metallic purple.

The Formula

There is a nice mix of mattes and shimmers in this palette. I really like the formula and find the shades easy to work with. They are all beautifully pigmented and are easy to blend. I do experience a bit of fallout with some of the particularly sparkly shades, but never any creasing which is good!

All in all, I think this is a great palette and is perfect for the holidays! I definitely recommend trying to snag one of these if you can.
