2 Easy Halloween Inspired Cookie Recipes

Happy Halloween!

Halloween isn’t one of my favourite holidays in truth. I liked it fine enough as a kid, but as I’ve gotten older it has become less exciting. I still like to celebrate, but it’s very low key! I’m just staying in tonight which is why I have made 2 easy Halloween inspired cookies to make the night feel a bit more festive.

These cookies are delicious and look festive. They’re quick to whip up too, so you still have time to make them too! If you’re looking for something to make last minute, these cookies are the perfect option. Here are the recipes:

Peanut Butter Cookies with a Halloween Twist

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Servings 24 Cookies


  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup mini Reece's Pieces


  1. Preheat oven to 350

  2. In a medium sized bowl, mix together the peanut butter, egg, and sugar

  3. Stir in the mini Reece's Pieces until well mixed

  4. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes

Cake Batter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Servings 3 dozen


  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cup vanilla cake mix
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Halloween sprinkles


  1. Preheat the oven to 350

  2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cake mix, and baking soda

  3. Using a hand mixer, mix together the butter and sugars until smooth in another bowl

  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating until well combined

  5. Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined

  6. Stir in the chocolate chips and sprinkles

  7. Scoop rounded balls of cookie dough onto baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes
